The quality of work continues to be top notch however my last two experiences have left me a little disappointed with communication at the front desk. All nice folks but twice I have been left with the impression that I have approved work only to find that they are still "waiting" to hear back from me a second time.

These folks have taken care of the family cars for several years now. It's much preferable to going to the dealership because you can talk to the guy who did the repair, the counter people are helpful and knowledgable. There's courtesy car service. Highly recommended!

Backstory- I drive a old car, but I LOVE it. Anyways, went to Kendall last year for some idle issues, they told me I have a bad carburetor, and did not mention any other problems (I was aware of many)Wanted 1,000 for the repair. Any 5 minute 10 point inspection would have saw the problems they did not mention to me. They either have no integrity or a sketchy mechanic, which is why I tell everyone my experience. Charged me 160$ for questionably doing nothing. I then went to a carburetor specialist, (North star motors) he said my carburetor is fine, and adjusted my idle via the carburetor. All was well for 100$. He did what he could do, he is not a mechanic, just a carburetor specialist. I drive a import. This last weekend, I lost all idle function, took it to Simards automotive. Not only did they find the possibly the real cause of all my problems, a PCV valve and fixed that. They also mentioned that my carb plug had fallen out (North star may have loosened it too much?), AND they actually did a good 30 point inspection. Found everything I already knew and then some. Also in their paper writeup for diagnostics, they include a step-by-step of what they did to trouble shoot the issue. That is as professional as it gets. Very good no pressure sales staff as well, and they provide complimentary rides. A+ for Simards.

Very good service, my car was fixed much sooner than expected and for a lower price. Customer service was outstanding, helpful, and not pushy. They even offer text notifications and start your car when you are about to pick it up. My only criticism would be that it is clear that they're busy and it sometimes seems like they're trying to hurry up and move onto the next task. Overall, a great business with great service.

I liked the service. They are very thorough. They noticed an issue that was very difficult to diagnose. It was not cheap but I got what I paid for. After the service was complete they informed me of all the other issues they noticed with my car and I plan to go back to have them take care of it. I personally believe business should be conducted between experienced professional and I am happy to do business with Simard's knowledgeable artificers.

We had our Subaru wagon serviced on January 20, 2011, all service was performed as expected and we got the afternoon call to come and get our car.

Simards is a business with a conscience! The energy & thoroughness of my first visit has been consistent with every appointment. We were shopping for a younger vehicle thinking our 1998 Toyota was getting tired. Simards did a full top to bottom inspection. When finished they communicated effectively what could improve our driving situation. My truck has a whole new life ahead!!! Fuel Injection Service that Simards offers was the saving grace. The engine response & sound has been comletely improved. We couldn't ask for better than what Simards has to offer. Gold nugget of Fairbanks.
